Just forget the words and sing along

First, the Caribbean. Next, the Old West.

So, the Walt Disney Company had a big gala presentation in Hollywood yesterday where they talked about some of their upcoming live-action films.

The biggest news is that most of the creative talent behind the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy are re-teaming to bring us a brand-new movie version of the classic masked avenger, one comic book hero that I still have a soft spot for, and just an all-round cool guy. Return with us now, to those thrilling days of yesteryear, for a brand new movie version of....

The Lone Ranger!

The Pirates talent that's already on board to bring this to the big screen are:

- Producer Jerry Bruckheimer
- Writers Ted Elliot and Terry Rosio
- And Captian Jack Sparrow himself, Johnny Depp, will be playing Tonto, the Lone Ranger's faithful sidekick.

I think this is going to be very, very cool...unless the bog it down with an overly complicated and unneccessary mythology, like they did with Pirates.

Oh, and speaking of, they also took advantage of the event to announce that, yes, Pirates of the Caribbean 4 is in the works.
